Community Impact Grants 2021-2022
Announcing TWO GSHFoundation Community Impact Grants

We are delighted to announce the availability of two Community Impact Grants for academic year 2021-2022. These grants will be awarded to experts in the field of speech-language pathology and audiology who, through innovation and application, promote community engagement of students and professional staff and facilitate high social impact to individuals with speech, language, cognitive, swallowing, or hearing disorders.

Each recipient will receive a grant between $500 and $2000 for use during the awarded academic school year. Support from the GSHFoundation annual fund provides the funding for these grants. The funds must be used during the grant period of October 1, 2021, to May 1, 2022.
​
The recipients will receive recognition for their grant awards during the Presidential Reception at the GSHA Annual Convention held in March 2022.

Qualifications

Applicant must be a resident of Georgia and a current member of the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Applicant must work at a college or university in the state of Georgia.

Proposed project must have goals related to serving individuals with communication disorders in their local communities.

Required Materials

Letter of support from head of the department. Letter must be submitted below.

Final Report must be submitted by two weeks after the end of the grant project or grant period. The report must provide a summary of the project results and benefits. Any tangible products must be submitted as well. Any unused money should be returned to the GSHFoundation.
DEADLINE
All grant applications and requested materials must be received by 5:00 pm Eastern Time on September 15, 2021 Faxes or emails are not accepted.
NOTIFICATION TO RECIPIENTS
Grant recipients will be notified by October 1, 2021. We only notify recipients; no notification means the applicant did not receive the grant. We cannot send out lists of recipients to those who do not receive a grant.
